25 ways to reinvent your life

  1. Change your self-talk. This is vital in changing how you see yourself. Learn about the subconscious mind. It can change. You can rewire it and teach yourself new beliefs and powerful new self-talk. Instead of falling into the habit of negative self-talk talk you grew up with, or experienced in an unhealthy relationship.

  2. Learn the power of the words “I am…”. Whatever follows the words “I am” is what you believe yourself to be. So if you say I am lazy, I am not confident, I am not motivated, I am not… fill in the blank. Those negative things you are telling your subconscious mind are what you believe yourself to be. And your subconscious mind can only do what you tell it. So the words you repeat to yourself are what the subconscious mind believes are important.

  3. Make a list of characteristics you want to be. Create an alter ego for yourself. Who is this person you strive to be? Who do you dream yourself to be? Then start working towards it every day.

  4. Make a list of your accomplishments. We are negatively biased so its natural to focus on negative. List your accomplishments so when you are down, you can goto this list. and it should be as long as this page. because you are in midlife, you’ve accomplished a lot! Start celebrating. Little things, big things. There are no little things.

  5. Explore self-hypnosis. Codependence anonymous - relaxation audio. and self hypnosis where your subconscious opens up and allows in new suggestions. That’s how we can rewire faster. Hynosis isn’t scary. You do it everyday. If you drove down road and missed turn - that is a relaxed state of mind just like hypnosis.Alot of misconceptions but it has changed my life.

  6. Stop focusing on what others think you should be or do, and stop comparing yourself to other people. Overcome falling into the patterns of people pleasing, procrastinating, and perfectionism. Be careful with comparison. On social media. etc. Easy to fall into the comparison trap, but once you become aware of it, you can shift it.

  7. Learn and practice mindfulness. Take a mindfulness class or explore free online resources. It is life-changing!

  8. Stop procrastinating! Do something you’ve been putting off. Book the trip. Go alone if that sounds fun to you. You will meet new people and make friends.

  9. Make a list of things you are avoiding. divorce, etc. we avoid a lot of things. we avoid judgement so therefore we don’t act authentically. Open up your mind and list what you are avoiding. Then you can do something about it.

  10. Make a list of everything you are tolerating. if something triggers you, you are upset and frustrated. what is it you are tolerating? pay attention. we should be living most the time in inner peace but we are so used to living in stress we don’t see what we are tolerating. we were put on this earth to enjoy live so what is getting in the way of it?

  11. Make a list of everything you hate about yourself. I know it sounds counterintuitive. why would I want to do this. if hate is too strong make a list of things you don’t prefer about yourself. so many times we avoid stuff and things we don’t like about ourselves but if we avoid them we never face it and resolve it.

  12. Make a list of everything you fear happening. parents dying. spouse leaving. losing job. losing home.

  13. Make a list of you feel when you believe that will happen?

  14. Make a list of the evidence you have it will happen?

  15. Understand the secret to feeling happier. What is the secret to feeling happier? Decide to be happy. choose to be happy. it doesn’t always come easy. we are programmed. let go of past. it runs and ruin your life and it doesn’t determine who you are. and choose to be happy now. get rid of toxic stuff. chemicals you are using. food. news is toxic. People in are life can be toxic. pay attention to what toxic things are in your life.

  16. Make a list of what you can and can’t control. Draw a line down a blank sheet of paper make list put everything you can’t control and everything you can control. look at list and be honest. is this something I’m trying to control that I can’t? left should be small and right side later

  17. Know your values. sit down and list out what are you values. dr. john martini has free values list on his website. find what you truly value and focus majority of your time.

  18. Let go of perfectionism. Meaning of perfect is not what we think. We think perfect means flawed and needs fixed but what imperfect means is not complete. And i’m ok with not being complete because if my life were complete it would be over. Examine how much you are trying to be perfect and is that what you really want? to be done? Perfectionism leads to people pleasing. because when we are string to be perfect we are not being are authentic selves. imperfections to not show because we think we will ultimately not be loved or accepted. ‘

  19. Explore your BS - your blind spots. find someone to help you see your blindspots. a coach or therapist.

  20. Take time to sit in silence. not meditate or nap. sit. with you and your thoughts. at let them come. Spent 10 hours in costa rica on retreat and it was amazing.

  21. Redefine the word selfish. selfish doesn’t mean what we have been led to believe it means. goes with list of what you are tolerating/.figure out what you are tolerating? what are your nonnegotiable. live by them. don’t let them go because you fear rejection

Do the power stance every morning. wonder woman pose - power stance, IF YOU Do it often it builds mental health and confidence. power stance tells subconscious mind this is who we want to be and feel. you create the emotion by doing that stance. every morning tell yourself in the mirror out loud I love myself as often as you can. reprogram in what you want to belive about yourself. say I love you and hi 5 yourself. when something fun happens hi 5 yourself. i’m doing something and creating something and making an impact and changing my life.
