New stops added to Kauai bus routes

Kaua’i County officials are adding two new on-call bus stops to regular routes on the north shore and westside, effective July 1.
Passengers will have the option of getting on or off The Kaua’i Bus at the Moloa’a Fruit Stand on route 400 or 500, which runs between Hanalei and Lihu’e.

Young Bros. raises fuel fee 52%

Young Brothers Ltd. boosted its fuel surcharge 51.8 percent today for freight shipped between the islands in response to fuel prices that have risen nearly 44 percent since March.
