Lifeguards renew watch over popular Kauai beach

Kee Beach has become the first state park on Kauai to have lifeguards, county officials announced yesterday.
Kee, which sits at the end of the road on Kauai’s North Shore, was visited by more than 700,000 people last year, according to the Hawaii Tourism Authority.

Tower replaces ‘No Lifeguard’ sign

Councilwoman Shaylene Iseri-Carvalho will have a new addition for her office wall.
A “No Lifeguard” sign that triggered her into action was removed as the final step marking the blessing and dedication of a new lifeguard tower at the Anahola Beach Park, yesterday morning.
