Missing hunter on Kauai found alive

A hunter who was reported missing on July 19, has been found alive Monday morning.
Rescue crews found 21-year-old Cody Kimura, after he apparently fired two shots in the air.
Search and rescue had flown over him several times over the weekend but did not spot him.  Conditions in the area were overcast which hampered efforts.

Kalalau Valley fire contained

Department of Land and Natural Resources firefighting personnel on Kaua‘i contained a fire near the end of the 11-mile Kalalau hiking trail at the Kalalau campground, according to a DLNR statement.

FBI divers to search for copter’s tail rotor

Divers from the FBI’s Los Angeles office will try to find the missing tail rotor of the Inter-Island Helicopter that crashed last month on Kauai’s North Shore, killing a California man.

Haena Crash Report Released
