Summer solstice a time to grow healthy

Study Finds Vog Not As Bad For Health As Thought

Other Factors Make Research Difficult
One of Hawaii’s top researchers released findings Tuesday that found vog is bad for you, but not as bad as you might fear.
Thick vog blanketed the state numerous days in May. A new eruption at Kilauea Volcano and days of Kona weather made miserable from Hilo to Honolulu and even Kauai.

Kauai residents to get water quality reports

The Department of Water will be mailing out 2008 Water Quality Reports to Kauai residents this month.
The reports contain information on each of the 11 water systems on Kaua’i including: sources of water; levels of contaminants in the water; compliance with drinking water rules; as well as some educational information.
