Bank robbery suspect in custody

Bank robbery suspect Mark Chambers, 50, of Hanalei, turned himself over to police Tuesday night.
He is currently being held at the Kaua‘i Police Department with bail set at $20,000.
After a 10 p.m. discussion with detective Trent Shimabukuro, who is in charge of the investigation, Chambers was arrested for first-degree robbery in connection with Saturday’s incident [...]

Man was stabbed while trying to help

One of the persons reportedly stabbed at Ching Young Village in Hanalei Friday night was a Good Samaritan attempting to break up a fight.
“Coan attempted to intervene between an ex-boyfriend and an ex-girlfriend who were arguing and subsequently ended up being the victim of a stabbing,” said Kauai Police Department Assistant Chief Roy Asher.

Two hospitalized, suspect held in Hanalei stabbing

A 32-year-old man (Patrick Coan) and 24-year-old woman, both of Hanalei, were in serious condition at Wilcox Hospital Friday after reportedly being stabbed by a homeless man in Hanalei, Kaua’i police said.
Their current condition is not known, police said.
The incident occurred at Ching Young Village at around 8:57 p.m. Friday.
