Hawaii Beach Safety - Current Beach Information for Hanalei Bay, North Shore (Kauai)

Current conditions, statements, watches, advisories, and warnings for the guarded beaches of Hawaii.

Beach Condition: Extreme — Shoreline activity is extremely hazardous and may lead to injury or death. Lifeguards will monitor ocean access. Avoid areas of wet sand or rock.

Offshore Condition: Extreme — Offshore conditions are extremely dangerous. Swimmers are advised to not enter the water. Kayakers are advised to not enter the water.

Beach Condition: Danger — Currents and surge on beach are quite strong and shore break can cause injury. Avoid exposed beaches and rocky shoreline. Remain beyond the reach of the waves as indicated by wet sand or rocks. Be aware of the variable nature of wave groups and lulls.
