Home sales on Kauai soared 82 percent year-over-year in February, while condominium sales rose 9 percent.
The Garden Isle recorded 20 single-family home sales last month, up from 11 during February 2009. There were 12 condo sales on Kauai last month, just one more than the same month a year ago.
In addition, the median sales price for a single-family home in February jumped 12 percent to $446,500 from $400,000, while the median price for a condo unit increased 8 percent to $313,000 from $290,000.
