Environmental Groups Plan to Sue the St. Regis

The Associated Press is reporting that four environmental groups say they plan to sue the St. Regis Princeville Resort here on Kaua’i if the hotel doesn’t take action to prevent ongoing deaths of rare native seabirds.

Kauai firm gets Waimea sewer job

Briant Construction has been awarded the contract to upgrade and expand Kauai County’s wastewater treatment plant in Waimea.
The Kauai-based company, the construction subsidiary of Aqua Engineers, Inc. of Lawai, will use a design-build approach to the project, which will allow the plant to remain operational throughout the two-year construction period.
