Missing Woman Stumbles Disoriented Onto Kauai Beach

Kauai County officials said late on Thursday that a woman the Kauai Police Department was searching for has been found.

Tara Andrea Noel, 28, arrived on the Garden Isle on Sunday. She was dropped off at Hanalei Pier on that afternoon, police said.

Her belongings were found at Hanakapiai Beach on Wednesday and turned into police.

“On Monday, I really started getting worried. I was texting her. I was calling her. Tuesday morning I e-mailed her ‘your phone is off. Call me.’ And Tuesday afternoon, I think it was 4 or 3 o’clock your time, six o’clock my time, a police officer called me and said, ‘I’m calling from Kauai,’” Noel’s mother, Patty, said.

Tara Noel was found Thursday afternoon after she wandered out disoriented onto a Kauai beach.

Authorities took her to Wilcox Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
