Volunteers sought for YMCA camp cleanup in Kokee

September 2nd, 2008 · No Comments

Volunteers are sought to help with an Oct. 3-5 weekend cleanup at the YMCA’s Camp Sloggett in Koke’e State Park.

The “camp perimeter cleanup effort” will be able to use a variety of skills and families are welcome, camp manager Erik Coopersmith says.

Volunteers can camp for free in tents, in the open or stay in the YMCA’s Weinberg Bunkhouse or Sloggett Lodge.

Volunteers are asked to bring tools for overgrowth removal. For more information, contact Coopersmith at 335-0710.
