Kaua’i authorities have identified two men whose bodies were found offshore in separate incidents last week.
The body of Jules Ventura, 46, of Kapa’a, was found at the water’s edge near Otsuka’s in Kapa’a Friday morning.
Police said they do not suspect foul play in his death. An autopsy will be conducted.
On Saturday afternoon, rescuers pulled Darren Gonsalves, 46, of Kekaha, from waters fronting the Hanalei Pavilion. He was pronounced dead at Mahelona Medical Center.
Police said Gonsalves was seen swimming from a buoy used for canoe races when he went under water.
