Kauai brothers Andy and Bruce Irons advanced through to the quarterfinals of the Billabong Pro Tahiti yesterday.

But both lost in their quarterfinal matches. Joel Parkinson beat Andy Irons 16.33 to 6.14, while C.J. Hobgood stopped Bruce Irons 15.00 to 10.16.
