April 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

Hawaii’s first full-time, locally produced high-definition TV channel has started to air scenic footage from around the state.

HD Channel 1000, Scenic Hawaii, shows footage from Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island such as aerial footage, sunsets, seascapes and editorials, said Paradise Television Network.

The channel is a part of the Paradise Television Network group of stations and is broadcast out of the company’s production facility in Lahaina.

The station, which started airing April 18, is available to Oceanic Time Warner HD subscribers, the network said.
