Trade winds starting to gradually decline

Trade winds are starting to gradually decline, but modest shower activity remains over mauka and windward areas, the National Weather Service said.

More showers are expected over Oahu and Kauai tomorrow and Thursday.

Today: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 78. East wind between 11 and 14 mph.

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after midnight. Widespread haze after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind around 8 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Widespread haze. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. Southeast wind around 10 mph becoming southwest. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Widespread haze. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Northeast wind around 7 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
