A clean-shaven Chris Dichoso Santos waived his right to have the charges against him read at his arraignment yesterday in front of Kaua‘i District Court Judge Trudy Senda.
Santos, 32, faces several charges brought by the county, the majority of which stem from successfully fleeing from law enforcement and alleged drug dealing, including second-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and prohibitions related to drug paraphernalia.
Santos was arrested Thursday night after leading three previous chases involving helicopters, U.S. Marshals and, finally, non-lethal force.
Senda ordered a bail study and set the amount at $6,000. A bail study is an investigation and report to be made to the court.
