Chicks Who Rip, with its Kauai roots, the once recognized leader of female designing and amateur surfing on the island is now looking to sell or license. Chicks Who Rip was honored in 2002 as The Retail Merchants of Hawaii Hookela Award, honoring the best of the retail merchants in Hawaii for the island of Kauai.
Chicks Who Rip who once had up to 6 stores on Kauai and Oahu, has come into hard times with the owner David Ynzunza suffering a major back injury and had to slowly close down each store and selling Hawaiian Water Movement.
David and his wife has moved to California to do back surgery but because of the existent of the injury, David who has done most the printing and designing says “it is better to allow another company to either buy or license Chicks Who Rip, to continue its full potential.”
