The Kaua’i Visitors Bureau announces that several of the golf and resort properties in its golf-destination co-operative – Kaua‘i: Discover Golf’s Ultimate Island Green – have been voted onto Golf Digest Magazine’s biennial ranking of the “75 Best Golf Resorts in North America.â€
Princeville at Hanalei – home to 45 golf holes designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. – is rated as the No. 23 best golf resort in North America by Golf Digest (up from No. 29 two years ago).
The Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i Resort & Spa is rated No. 32 by Golf Digest, and is home to Poipu Bay Golf Course, which hosted the PGA Grand Slam of Golf for the past 13 years (1994-2006).
A third Kaua‘i resort – Kaua‘i Marriott Resort & Beach Club – garnered the elite distinction of being included on Golf Digest’s best-of list, rating No. 60. The acclaimed resort features two Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses at its Kaua‘i Lagoons Golf Club.
Golf Digest’s biennial ranking of the 75 Best Golf Resorts in North America is determined by the magazine’s Course Rating panelists, a group of more than 800 low-handicap golfers who rated hundreds of U.S., Canadian, Mexican and Caribbean resorts on a 10-point scale.
