May 8th, 2006 · No Comments

With its 25th anniversary long gone, the organizers of the annual Ha’ena to Hanalei 8-mile run/walk are ready to bring in another 25 years.

“In 2005, we had a record number of participants and this year is sure to be as exciting, so mark your calendar to come to beautiful Hanalei Bay and join in the fun while supporting a worthwhile cause,” event organizer Mary Mair said.

The 26th annual Ha’ena to Hanalei Run is scheduled for June 3.

The event, sponsored by the Hanalei Canoe Club, is a great opportunity for runners and walkers of every age group to enjoy a morning on the North Shore followed by an awards ceremony and the famous all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast.

The 8-mile walk begins at 6 a.m. and the 8-mile run begins at 7 a.m. Participants in the 8-mile run/walk will be shuttled from the Hanalei registration point at the Hanalei Pier to Ke’e Beach located in Ha’ena State Park at the end of the road.
